Spend three days and two nights immersed in historic Thai culture to feel like you’ve gone back in time. Cook your own Thai dishes, visit historic landmarks and viewpoints in the local community, and wear traditional Thai dress while participating in a Thai-Mon style merit making ceremony. In addition, walk around the town viewing street art and then watch MILLIONS of bats pour out of a cave like a flow of black ink. An experience unlike any other.

Day 1

12.30 Arrive at The Antique Riverside and be warmly welcomed with Thai herbal drinks
12.45 Pick up a pestle and mortar and learn to cook one of the most popular Thai dishes, “som tom” (papaya salad), which is both yummy and healthy. We will help you prepare all the ingredients and flavor the dish to your liking.
Lunch. Along with your freshly made som tom, we will serve you three different local dishes to share family style.
14.00-14.30 Check-in
14.30 Thai Culture 101: Pay respect to a Thai shrine with flowers as our guides also tell you about other cultural tips and history to know when visiting other destinations in Thailand.
Antique Treasure Hunt: Follow a map around the resort to learn about the
different items around the grounds.
15.30 Cultural crafts and cuisine workshops taught by locals
17.00 Rest and relax with our recommended onsite activities
18.00 Dinner with a view. Enjoy a special “kun tok” dinner -traditional Thai style dinner buffet- specially prepared by our top chef.

Day 2

7.00 Put on local costumes that we have prepared for you in your villa’s closet and get ready for Alms giving ceremony, a traditional Thai-Mon style morning merit making event
*If the monks are in religious ceremonies, this plan will be changed to an
afternoon merit making at Nakhon Chum temple at 10.30 am.
8.30-10.30 Thai and international breakfast
10.30 Set out for a community tour to experience local culture and traditions. Enjoy street art by local talent that portray Ratchaburi, its people, and culture through paintings.Or (Saturday-Sunday only)
Watch The Grand Shadow Play: an internationally recognized Thai cultural heritage. It was a high class entertainment event in former times, being a combination of several art forms: artistic pattern designs, handicraft art in making meticulous shadow figures, theatrical art, oratory art of composing narration and chorus, and orchestral music to complement all the tactile senses.
13.00 Mini herbal drink workshop to refresh you up a little bit

15.30 Visit the temple that is the heart and soul of the local people. The temple will bring you luck and prosperity according to the locals’ belief.Twilight Bat Emergence: Head out to Wat Khao Chong Pran, the most famous bat viewpoint in Thailand, to watch MILLIONS of bats pour from the cave like a flow of black ink. It’s an awe-inspiring natural spectacle not to be missed!Hike up to Ratchaburi viewpoint to watch the sunset from up high.
18.00 Seafood BBQ party by the river
